At the top of our logo is the Wuji state (the head) The main body represent you ( it is a personal thing learning Tai Chi) and lastly the sword ( This represent training with a true master).
Wuji I like to think of Tai Chi as a meditative art. Stop and observe, half-closed eyes, what happens in self ( his own breathing , bodily sensation, the endless stream of thoughts) and around ( sounds, smells ... ) . Only observe, without judging, without waiting for anything , but nothing happen to prevent his mind, but without clinging to what 's going on. That's it. It is simple. This is mindfulness meditation. This is the Wuji represented here as a circle. Wuji is a state of deep physical and mental relaxation. To experience Wuji need to feel the joy of the mind unaffected by his ego , thoughts, judgments about good / bad or necessary / unnecessary . Wuji is a condition which allows to feel the energy of the universe. This energy is the mother of Tai Chi . When the energy is full , appears a natural desire to move. As soon as the intention of the movement , the energy is divided into yin and yang (soft / hard , left / right, up / down , in / out, etc.) , and the movement - Taiji is born. After the move , it is natural to return to peace. Ultimately , words and rational thought can not specifically express Wuji . How would you describe the taste of sugar ? Wuji can be felt only by experience . How to practice Taiji and effectively achieve Wuji ? It is important to understand that different meditation techniques that allow us to be there in the stillness , but peace of mind is a common goal for all . So, in meditation, standing, sitting or lying down, should be primarily achieved Wuji state , which is the starting point for good practice Tai Chi . It should be understood , however, that in Wuji is a deep sense of self, and without intent to "do" something. And when the intention to do something is happening , it is not Wuji , but is the way to Tai Chi . Body All of these as meditation in motion, energize the spirit , the body , the mind . These exercises allow you to integrate the deepest levels . Exercises are interconnected and interdependent - a combination of exercises , giving practical implementation of the wider benefits and more effective practice. Sword The image also include a person holding a sword. Someone once said it takes 100 days to learn Tai Chi 1000 days to learn the Dao and a 10 000 days to learn the Jian. So in choosing a good versus an average Tai Chi teacher is the Sifu ability to handle the weapon forms. I have also been train by my father at an early age and also in China in using the Dao and Jian form of the Wu system. As part of our logo Healthy Nei Jia Wu Taiji emphasize 3 elements, which is the healthy (learning Tai Chi is a personal choice to maintain once health), Nei Jia ( the internal art such as Chi Gong dealing in Chi flow ) Wu Taiji ( traditional Wu family Tai Chi). Here we must emphasize that previous Grand Master has the authority to modify the form and we had restored version past down from Wong Cho Yam through research and training (with his last disciple Sifu Jacky Chan whom unfortunately has left us), Lastly our fast form is unlike many simplify and modernize Wushu version form not founded by our founder Wu Kwong Yi. Lastly, We must emphasize that we 're unrelated to Wu style or affiliated to any school here in Singapore. Cheers ! Comments are closed.
